August 28th 2008: Cody is a rescue dog, and is in need of a loving forever home. He is approximately 2-3 years old, medium sized (45 lbs?), black with some tan markings. This dog is wonderful with everyone, he gets along with all people, children of all ages, cats and other dogs. We have birds and other animals here and he has never showed any aggressive tendencies toward any living thing. His coat is normally long and thick so he does require attention to brushing to prevent matting, especially on his hind quarters. We have him shaved down right now for the summer. Cody is very good at going outdoors through our dog door to go potty. In the beginning there were accidents until he caught on to what the dog door was for. ***If you do not provide a dog door, he will potty in the house! Taking him out at intervals proved unsuccessful with him, therefore you need a fenced yard so he can go in and out as he pleases. Cody is an indoor dog and would be very sad to be kept outside away from everyone. His last home was like that, the people got "rid of" his companion dog friend and left him out in the cold by himself. He would make an excellent friend to another dog, as long as your dog is not aggressive. He loves to play and loves to be loved on.
